BFP Caraga conducts Oplan Ligtas na Pamayanan at CSU

The Bureau of Fire and Protection, Caraga Region (BFP) spearheaded the Oplan Ligtas na Pamayanan Season 3 with its guest Dr. Ariel U. Cubillas, Director for the Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRRM) of Caraga State University, last August 24, 2022, at the HERO Learning Commons. The live shoot of the episode was successfully conducted with the Office of the Vice President for Executive Operations and Auxiliary Services (OVPEOAS), and the DRRM team lead by the VPEOAS, Dr. Luisito I. Tabada.

The episode started with a feature of CSU’s landmarks and showcasing the BFP Caraga’s activities. BFP hosts SF01 Rica Joy P. Palarca, and F01 Joshua P. Ojel welcomed the live viewers and gave essential tips to prevent fire incidents within homes. Dr. Ariel U. Cubillas was interviewed on the “Kaistorya” segment. Dr. Cubillas gave important information on how the DRRM office of CSU initiates its directives and prevents any incidents within the university premises. He also stated the cooperation of all the CSU community in handling emergency situations and conducting drills that will help them act cautiously on unprecedented incidents.

Furthermore, Dr. Cubillas laid the plans for the DRRM team on how they will mitigate the COVID-19 virus during the upcoming face-to-face classes at CSU. The segment concluded with vital details on how the CSU DRRM performs its directives.
