Caraga State University recipient of PQA Level 2 Proficiency in Quality Management

Another imprint of CSU's Performance Excellence has been recorded as the University receives a congratulatory remark from the DTI Competitiveness Bureau for being a recipient of the Recognition for Proficiency in Quality Management (Level II) under the Philippine Quality Award (PQA) Assessment Cycle.

The Philippine Quality Award is the highest level of national recognition for exemplary organizational performance in both public and private sectors. It was institutionalized through Republic Act No. 9013 on February 28, 2001, also known as the PQA Act, provides an internationally recognized performance excellence framework and criteria for assessing organizational performance patterned from the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (MBNQA) of the United States (US). Further, Section 11 of this Act indicates that the Secretary of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) will take the helm as Award Manager with the Center for Industrial Competitiveness as its implementing agency.

This recognition is unattainable without the concerted effort and shared values of all the personnel in the university from both past and present administrations. The conferment ceremony is tentatively scheduled on May 17, 2023 at the Malacañang Palace Guest House. QuAMS/pico
