The Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc. has granted Level IV Re-accreditation status to three programs offered at Caraga State University – Main Campus. This represents the highest level of quality that can be awarded to a program following its accreditation.
In the released Board Action from AACCUP, Inc., the Bachelor of Science in Geodetic Engineering, Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Science, and Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics have been re-accredited to Level IV, following the visit last May 29-30, 2024. The accreditation is valid for five years, from June 1, 2024, until May 31, 2029. The three programs now join the College of Agriculture and Agri-Industries’ (CAA) Bachelor of Agricultural Technology, which was also granted Level IV Re-accreditation status from November 1, 2022, to October 31, 2027.
Following this roster is the Bachelor of Elementary Education major in General Education, which shall receive its Level IV Re-accreditation status once mandatory recommendations are complied with.
The accreditation level granted to the three programs is widely regarded as an indicator of high-quality academic standards in the Philippines, holding prestige and authority comparable to similar programs at top foreign universities (CHED Memorandum Order No. 1 s. 2005, Art. IV, Sec. 1.e).
We congratulate the faculty, staff, and students of the College of Engineering and Geosciences (CEGS) and the College of Education (CEd) for this well-deserved accolade! Bugsay!
