The 2nd International Forum on Sustainability Science (IFSS), co-hosted by the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU) and Caraga State University through the CSU-College of Mathematics and Natural Sciences - Biology Department, formally concluded on July 12, 2024. The closing ceremony further forged a network of sustainability advocates and awarded exemplary researchers.

Relative to strengthening the rewards and recognition among university employees, the Caraga State University awarded exemplary faculty and administrative personnel in research undertakings, punctuality, and attendance, including during flag-raising ceremonies on July 15, 2024.

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) recognized Caraga State University’s research as a key initiative for Circular Economy baseline development in the Philippines in their April report.

Fourteen BS Geology and BS Electronics Engineering student-interns of Caraga State University (CSU) arrived in Manila on July 3, 2024, marking the commencement of a student exchange collaboration between CSU and the University of the Philippines (UP). UP officials welcomed these students through a reception dinner.

June 19, 2024 – The Pollution Control and Environmental Management Office (PCEMO) of the university successfully launched the University Carbon Sink Enhancement Program, marked by the planting 2,532 native trees at the Basag and Antongalon boundaries of the university. This initiative pushes to uplift our Golden Paddlers’ commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability.

CSU extends research collaboration with Korea’s Far East University

Marking a significant step in the strengthened internationalization collaboration, Caraga State University participated in the 2nd International Workshop on Intelligent Computing hosted by Far East University in Korea on June 4-5, 2024.
