Webometrics tag CSU as top university in Caraga, 48th in the entire PH

The pedestal that the university stands on remains high, as it ranked 1st in Caraga and 48th in the entire Philippines out of 367 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). This is based on the newly-released Webometrics’ July 2023 publication for its Ranking of World Universities by the Cybermetrics Lab. CSU is also the only HEI in Caraga included in the top 100.

The rankings are based on the following indicators: web content impact (visibility 50%), top-cited researchers (openness 10%), and top-cited papers (excellence 40%).

The Cybermetrics Lab, a research division of the Consenjo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas (CSIC), Spain's largest public research organization, is behind Webometrics.

Since 2004, the Ranking Web (or Webometrics Ranking) has released two publications annually, covering more than 31,000 HEIs across the globe. Data is gathered during the opening weeks of January and July. A publication is then made after both months’ assessment.
