The closing ceremony further forged a network of sustainability advocates and awarded exemplary researchers.
Ms. Dawn Rosarie F. Orboc, a faculty member of the College of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, and student-researcher Mae Ann T. IFSS brought together practitioners, academicians, and students, both in-person and online, to discuss approaches and solutions to sustainability issues. Following its successful launch in 2015, the 2nd IFSS centered on the theme, "Climate Resilience: Bridging Science, Policy, and Practice,” and probed into understanding and mitigating the urgent sustainability challenges caused by the interplay of human activities and the environment.
The forum featured parallel, poster, and panel presentations and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Fair, which showcased the initiatives of organizations related to global sustainability through their programs, products, technologies, and services.
