Seven (7) Golden Paddlers passed the 2025 Certification Examination for Registered Microbiologists (RMicro) administered by the Philippine Academy of Microbiology, Inc. (PAM) on January 18-19, 2025, in Taguig City.
The registered microbiologists include Jerico B. Aloba, Roland Care B. Burdeos, John Benedict B. Diaz, Kent D. Lampad, Ella Mae C. Lasco, Necel Keren S. Paglinawan, Al Austin M. Saclolo. Four of the seven passers mentioned have recently graduated with a BS in Biology in 2024.
According to PAM, applicants for the examination must have obtained a Bachelor of Science degree and must have taken at least 24 units of microbiology courses. PAM is a professional organization that accredits and certifies microbiologists in the Philippines, among its other functions.
