CSU achieves 500 Scopus-indexed papers in recent database

The Caraga State University (CSU) is proud to announce a remarkable milestone in its research endeavors, surpassing an impressive 500 publications on the prestigious Scopus database.

The Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc. has granted Level IV Re-accreditation status to three programs offered at Caraga State University – Main Campus. This represents the highest level of quality that can be awarded to a program following its accreditation.

Aiming to reduce carbon emissions while improving mobility options on the campus, the Caraga State University’s Pollution Control Office launched its Sustainable Mobility Program on August 19, providing ten (10) bikes as sustainable transportation options at the outset.

Engr. Lord Boy Silong, a Technical Expert at the university’s Technology Transfer and Licensing Office (TTLO), won first prize at the Agri-Aqua Innovation Pitch Fest 2024, held on August 16, 2024, at the Royce Hotel in Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga.

He demonstrated his innovative competence by pitching the Sago Pith Extracting Device, an invention developed by the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering faculty.

The Caraga State University Community observes the commemoration of Proclamation No. 239, s. 2011, today, August 16. This proclamation granted ownership of certain parcels of land in Ampayon, Butuan City, that is the ground where the university thrives today.

Golden paddlers, both students and personnel, gathered for a short program, which included a wreath laying, overview of the university history and community dancing.

The Department of Biology, together with its undergrad and graduate students, recently held its talk series on new frontiers in breast cancer research and drug discovery with Dr. Chien-Chih Chiu and PhD student Rovelyn Gallego from Kaohsiung Medical University. Ms. Gallego is also a faculty member of the Department of Biology at the College of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (CMNS).

Caraga State University’s Academic Year 2024-2025 commences today, August 12. This year’s ENTRADA followed the flag ceremony, decorated with the theme ‘Adventure Time,’ a popular American fantasy animated television series.

Butuan City, August 9, 2024 — The Caraga Center for Geo-informatics (CCGeo), in collaboration with the Department of Geodetic Engineering from the College of Engineering and Geosciences (CEGS) and the College of Agriculture and Agri-industries (CAA), successfully launched the first Geo-Spatial Technologies for Earth Monitoring Symposium (GEO-STEMS) 2024. The event occurred at the HERO Learning Commons auditorium of Caraga State University (CSU).

The Caraga State University (CSU) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development - Field Office Caraga (DSWD - FO Caraga) joined forces to bolster the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on August 9, 2024, at Dotties Place Hotel, Butuan City.
