CSU evaluates research, extension projects to intensify societal impact

Committed to enhancing the quality and impact of its research and extension initiatives, the Caraga State University conducted a Research, Development, Innovation, and Extension (RDIE) In-house Review, gathering its esteemed researchers and project staff on September 10-11.

The evaluation looked into the processes, contributions, and financial and inventory statuses of university-led research and extension projects with funding support from various agencies. Vice President for RDIE Dr. Jeffrey T. Dellosa, spearheading the activity, also encouraged the personnel to share their challenges and opportunities for insights and even gathered inputs for the research ethics manual that is being drafted.

The research projects explored various fields such as sustainable agriculture, biotechnology, health, communication, rural development, mining technology, machine innovation, intellectual property, environmental conservation, geographic systems, and artificial intelligence. All seven (7) colleges also presented various extension projects, including community outreach programs.

The activity aligns with the university’s sustained mission to create a sustainable future for the region through conducting impactful research that will eventually translate to development and change for its clientele.
