CSU execs meet Gov. Amante for COM offering, MapX, and CSU-CC infra assistance

Caraga State University (CSU) officials met with Governor Angel Amante on September 5, 2023, at the Agusan del Norte Provincial Capitol to discuss the following:

• The offering of a College of Medicine (COM) in CSU and the university's base hospital requirement.
• The proposed MapX Project, a complete real property mapping and assessment solution that uses advanced geoinformatics technologies.
• The request for assistance in funding infrastructure at the CSU – CSU-Cabadbaran Campus (CSUCC).

The meeting was attended by CSU President Rolyn Daguil, VPs Dr. Michelle Japitana and Dr. Alexander Demetillo, CSU-CC Chancellor Dr. Deomila Basnig, Dr. McChristian Mamaoag, and EA Mr. Nathan Kit A. Berro.

Governor Amante expressed her full support for the COM offering and the MapX Project. She also assured the CSU officials of her help in securing the infrastructure funding at CSU-CC. Consequently, CSU authorities expressed their gratitude to Governor Amante for her backing and affirmed their dedication to collaborating with the provincial administration to enhance educational standards in the region.
