On October 4, 2018 a dialogue with prospective contractors were conducted for the various infrastructure projects of the University for FY 2019. The dialogue was spearheaded by the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) together with the General Services Unit, Planning and Development Unit, and the Office of the Campus Security Service. The said activity is in line with the marching order of the national government on the early procurement but short of award for all procurement activities with the shift to cash-based budgeting in 2019.
The Caraga State University College of Education collaborated with the Filipino American Teachers of America (AFTA) Incorporated through a project called Balikturo, which literally translates to “Return to teach”.
The Philippine Development Foundation (PhilDev) considered Caraga State University (CSU) as one of the prominent universities in the Philippines to implement the United Nations Development Programme–Innovation for Social Impact Project (UNDP-ISIP).
The College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources is now separated as two colleges, College of Agriculture (CA) and College of Forestry and Environmental Science (CoFES). The College of Forestry and Environmental Science (CoFES) was softly launched last February 14, 2018. The proposed establishment of CoFES was approved through BOR Resolution no. 36-15, series of 2017.
Caraga State University is implementing the Protected Area Establishment In Lake Mainit Key Biodiversity Area Project funded by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Caraga Region. The project aims to make Lake Mainit a protected area on the premise that it is home to several wildlife species in which some are endemic to Mindanao.
