The Caraga State University Community observes the commemoration of Proclamation No. 239, s. 2011, today, August 16. This proclamation granted ownership of certain parcels of land in Ampayon, Butuan City, that is the ground where the university thrives today.
Golden paddlers, both students and personnel, gathered for a short program, which included a wreath laying, overview of the university history and community dancing.
TODAY, August 16 – Faculty, staff, and executives paid tribute to the statues of the late Governor Francis Burton Harrison and legislator Elisa R. Ochoa, who were instrumental in championing Proclamation No. 4, later amended to Proclamation No. 239. The latter granted ownership of certain parcels of land to Caraga State University in 2011.
