The Office of the Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Extension (OVPRIE) expressed its appreciation and congratulations to all faculty members and researchers for their outstanding accomplishments for the First Quarter of 2024 shortly after the indoor flag-raising ceremony yesterday, April 29, 2024.
Caraga State University representatives headed by its President Dr. Anthony M. Penaso together with Dr. Rolando N. Paluga, Dr. Rowena P. Varela, Dr. Esamel M. Paluga, Dr. Rey Y Capangpangan, Ms. Chime Mora-Garcia, and Mr. Eric John E. Auguis visited prestigious Taiwanese institutions for international collaboration and partnership on research, faculty, and student exchange last March 4-6, 2019.
Ms. Chennie Solania of the Department of Biology under the College of Arts and Sciences attended the Boot Camp in Wildlife Study Design and Data Analysis in Sunway University, Selangor, Malaysia last January 7-18, 2019. The activity was sponsored by Sunway University and Biodiversity Conservation Society of Sarawak in which participants were coming from Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, and United Kingdom.
The faculty in the Department of Environmental Science joined the 2nd Agusan Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary Summit last November 21, 2018 held at Ernielita’s Events Venue in Patin-ay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur. The events’ theme centers on sustaining biodiversity through ecotourism and extension programs in which key personnel from the Provincial Tourism Office of Agusan del Sur provided the situation and opportunities of ecotourism inside the marsh.
Ms. Chime M. Garcia, Ms. Meycel C. Amarille, and Ms. Julie Rose D. Apdohan faculty members of the Department of Environmental Science under the College of Forestry and Environmental Science (COFES) attended the 23rd National Educators’ Conference on Environmental Protection and Management at VIP Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City last November 7-8, 2018. The event was sponsored by the Philippine Association of Tertiary Level Educators on Environmental Management (PATLEEM) together with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Environmental Management Bureau (DENR-EMB).
