Ampayon LGU

Steadfast in its commitment to environmental sustainability, Caraga State University (CSU) led the Ampayon Creek Cleanup and Seminar in observance of the World Water Day on March 22, 2025.

In line with the WWD theme: “Synergizing Water and Waste: Advancing a Human-Centered Circular Economy for Resilient and Regenerative Systems,” the activity aimed to promote waste management awareness, water conservation, and community engagement for environmental protection. 

The Caraga State University, DENR-Environmental Management Bureau (EMB), and Local Government Unit-Ampayon formalized their partnership to protect and pursue environmental developments of the Ampayon Creek, a significant waterway inside the campus that drains through the Agusan River. 

The Caraga State University personnel represented and headed by Engr. Marilou G. Umpad and its Drum and Lyre Corps added more volume to the beats and cheers of the Ampayon residents as they celebrated their 30^th year as a barangay through a motorcade on October 15, 2022.
