CSU secures championship and third prize in DOST's RICE 2023 - Mindanao Leg

Caraga State University (CSU) has emerged as a powerhouse of innovation and excellence, securing top honors at the DOST 2023 Regional Invention Contest and Exhibits, held in Cagayan De Oro City on October 4-5, 2023. The university clinched the championship and secured the third prize, demonstrating the exceptional talents and commitment of its students and faculty.

CSU celebrated these individual achievements and extended its congratulations to the eight finalists in the College Category for Outstanding Student Creative Research (SIBOL). These students represented the Department of Electronics Engineering, guided by the remarkable leadership of Engr. Re-Anne Cristine O. Calimpusan and the College of Engineering and Geoscience, led by Engr. Lorie Cris S. Asube.

The DOST 2023 Regional Invention Contest and Exhibits (Mindanao LEG) was a highly competitive event, featuring numerous universities and colleges across Mindanao. CSU's exceptional achievements underscore its unwavering dedication to excellence in innovation and commercialization, all under the inspiring leadership of CSU President Dr. Rolyn C. Daguil.

These accomplishments in the fiercely contested SIBOL College category, where various universities and colleges from Mindanao participated, further highlight CSU's commitment to excellence in innovation and research.

The journey does not end here. Ms. Leizl Caserial, along with her advisers and coaches, is now preparing to compete in the prestigious National Invention Contest and Exhibits (NICE) scheduled to take place in Manila in 2024. This upcoming challenge will test their mettle on a national stage.
