A total of 622 participants registered in the three-day Research Skills Enhancement Series: Training-Workshop on Classroom-Based Action Research (CBAR) for Basic Education organized by the Caraga State University - College of Education – Dr. Maris T. Lasco, CSU Alumni Relations Office Director and the training coordinator said.
Dr. Lasco went on to say that the number of registered participants exceeded the organizers' expectations, a milestone of CSU-CEd as an accredited Continuing Professional Development (CPD) provider granted by the Professional Regulation Commission in 2022.
The opening day of the training-workshop introduced the 435 participants in attendance to the relevant toolkits to conduct CBAR in their contexts and to convert these outputs into publishable formats. Dr. Jonas H. Homonong, Public School District Supervisor in DepEd East Butuan District III, discussed CBAR's rationale and parts via Zoom on March 25, 2023. Dr. Julie S. Berame, Associate Professor of CSU CEd, zeroed in on the significance and structure of scientific writing and the processes of selecting journals for manuscript submission.
'Educational stakeholders rely on research to make evidence-based decisions that ultimately impact the quality of education for our students,' said Dr. Leo L. Codilla, Jr., CSU CEd Dean. 'This training-workshop is an activity contributing to and aligned with the University's LIKHA Agenda and the Department of Education's Basic Education Development Plan 2030,' the Dean added.
The next two synchronous virtual meetings will happen on April 1 & 8, 2023. CEd/pico
