CSU-OVPAF Ushers for the Implementation of DBM NBC 589, s. 2022

A consultative meeting with the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) with CSU officials was held at the CSU Administration building conference room on October 24, 2022.  The Office of the Vice President for Administration and Finance (OVAF) headed by its Vice President, Dr. Armie Leila M. Mordeno ushered the consultative meeting for the implementation of DBM NBC 589, s. 2022 re: Revised Organization and Staffing Standards for SUCs-Phase 1.

The event was attended by CSU officials and Supervising and Management Specialist Mr. Elvin D. Chatto and Senior Budget and Management Specialist Ms. Katrina Emmanuel L. Yap. OIC-Office of the University President, Dr. Joy C. Capistrano gave a message on the importance of communication in human interaction. She acknowledged the dynamic collaboration between CSU and DBM.

The Organization and Staffing Standards (OSS) for State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) was issued in May 1997 which provides the standards for organizational staffing of tertiary or higher education institutions. The OSS also serves as the basis of the SUCs in establishing and/or modifying their respective organizational structure and staffing pattern, as well as in requesting organizational and staffing shifts. This means promotion and permanent positions to people based on their competence and other given qualifications.
