The workshop finale was held last December 17, 2020 at the new Administration building Conference Room. The event was done observing the necessary health and safety protocols.
The activity aims to: orient the CSU Public Information Web Officers (PIWOs) on Branding and Digital Marketing; to upscale the capabilities of our PIWOs on the use of a dynamic web application for global promotion; to help facilitate a technology-based avenue in promoting the different colleges in the global market; and to encourage awareness on the importance of updating, maintaining, and sustaining the college information systems.
Given the opportunity for digital transformation, helping to bridge the digital divide and be in connectivity with the global arena, the PIWOs show enough interest, motivation, and cooperation in all the discussed topics and shared knowledge.
Spearheaded by the Public Information and Communication Office (PICO) with an all-out support of the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA) and the Office of the Vice President for Executive Operations and Auxiliary Services (OVPEOAS), with the Office of the Vice President for Research Innovation and Extension (OVPRIE), the Office of the Vice President for Administration and Finance (OVPAF), all the deans and directors and the University President; the series of webinars and the face to face social distancing encounter were a resounding success.
The college PIWOs presented their output and were critiqued by the resource persons and the PICO Director. Guidelines on web posting and netiquette were also discussed by the PICO Director, Dr. Sonia R. Low. Giving the keynote message was Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Rolando N. Paluga noting the significance of QStar in the University’s vision for excellence and global competitiveness. The closing remark was done by the Vice President for Executive Operations and Auxilliary Services, Dr. Luisito I. Tabada, highlighting the importance of digital transformation.
