Dr. Leong Yew Hoong of the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, was invited as resource speaker of the university's Seminar-Workshop on the Trends in Pedagogy and Research in Mathematics Education with its graduate students and faculty members on April 28, 2025, at the HERO Learning Commons Auditorium.
The activity discussed trends in mathematics education and research, which are insightful for the participating MS and PhD students in Mathematics Education, especially in developing their dissertations and research papers.
The participants also joined a workshop on research proposal-making and presented their outputs to improve their research and presentation skills.
CSU Graduate Studies facilitated the scholarly discourse through the Mathematics Education (MathEd) Group. Dr. Hoong’s visit also opens potential collaboration between CSU and the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, aligning with the university’s goal to strengthen international partnerships.
