PRCD highlights LIKHA agenda on his first joint Administrative and Academic Council meeting

CSU President, Dr. Rolyn C. Daguil led the joint CSU Administrative and Academic Council meeting on a stormy Monday, both virtually and in person; his first as newly elected President.

Dr. Daguil earlier had the first Monday flag raising ceremony held at the CSU Administration building conference room amidst a heavy downpour bringing some good news to the CSU personnel. These include the NBC 461 implementation, CNA, SRI and many other good things that brought good tidings to the CSU family.

The joint council meeting tackled on the fiscal management of the University and other related matters pertaining to infrastructure development and other expenditures. It included various memoranda to which CSU have partnered with other agencies for development, entrepreneurship, and innovation as part of his LIKHA vision.

December 5, 2022, Monday was also the opening of the 2023-2028 strategic planning held at the Horizon Resort in Magallanes, Agusan del Norte. The opening program was virtually graced by CSU-BOR Chair, CHED Commissioner Jo Mark M. Libre who gave the keynote address. Commissioner Libre adamantly manifested his all out support to CSU .

Also present in the council meeting and supposedly first day of the strategic planning were BOR Regent representing Senator Chiz Escudero, Atty. Ronnie Azura and Faculty Regent, Dr. Alex Demetillo.

Resource speakers to the 3-day Strategic Planning were two CSU Board of Regents’ expert planners and strategists, Prof. Yolando Arban and Atty. Ronnie Azura. The 3-day strategic planning activity was organized by the Office of the Planning and Development (OPD) headed by Dr. Michele Japitana. The next two days of the strategic planning were also attended by other CSU faculty researchers.

CSU President Rolyn C. Daguil’s vision for CSU is anchored on his LIKHA Agenda to scale up CSU’s global competitiveness through: LaunchPad of Global Talents and Innovators, Internationalization and Partnerships, Knowledge Co-Creation and Commercialization, Hub for Academic Excellence, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, Accelerated Administrative Systems and Digital Transformation.
