Caraga State University is proud to recognize its top-performing faculty researchers based on Scopus-indexed publications from 2010 to 2025, ranked by h-index—a trusted and comprehensive measure of research productivity and scholarly impact.

The h-index is widely used in academia to measure a researcher's productivity and citation impact. It indicates the number of publications a researcher has and how many times they have been cited. 

In the case of Dr. Vales, he holds an h-index of 14, indicating that he has authored at least 14 research publications, each cited a minimum of 14 times. This represents a significant scholarly achievement and reflects his sustained impact and influence within his field of expertise.
