TODAY, March 28 – the university’s Gender and Development (GAD) Office wraps up its Purple Fridays through the CSU Stride & Thrive: Walk and Jog for Health at the New Administration Grounds, starting at 2:30 PM.
One hundred and nine participants joined the healthy workout and completed various laps around the university grounds. Select participants received awards during the closing ceremony, including Most Energetic Warm-Up Performers, Best-Dressed Participants, and Fresh-Faced Finishers.
This activity aligns with the Civil Service Commission’s Memorandum Circular No. 08, s. 2011, on the Physical Fitness Program, which emphasizes the importance of regular exercise for government employees to promote health, productivity, and overall well-being.
Since the start of the month, GAD, headed by Ms. Marjorie Escartin, has implemented nine (9) activities: Purple Fridays and its weekly photo contests, 2025 HERStory: Search for CSU’s Exemplary Women, CSU Quiz Bowl, 2025 Women’s Summit, Gender Sensitivity Training for newly hired personnel of both campuses, Health and Wellness: Orientation on Hypertension and Diabetes with a Zumba Session, Rosas Para kay Juana, and the agency-wide Women’s Month Kickoff.
The culmination activity will happen on Monday, March 31, to announce the winners.
