Our academic endeavors have garnered recognition and visibility even in Davao Oriental! Five (5) representatives from the Davao Oriental State University visited CSU for a benchmarking activity today, October 4, 2023. This centered on CSU's Pre-University Intervention Program (Pre-UIP), student handbook and services, administrative manual, and faculty and students' exchange programs.
In detail, DorSU is represented by Dr. Evangeline R. Rivera from the Office of the Directorate of Student Affairs and Services (ODSAS), Ms. Cheerie May S. Sampiri and Ms. Aira Nicole T. Ancog from the Office of Legal Affairs, Ms. Trishea Amor C. Jacobe from the Office of Student Promotion, Admission, and Testing (OSPAT), and Ms. Candy J. Martinez from the Financial Aids and Scholarship Grants.
After the courtesy call at the Office of the President, DorSU representatives were directed to the Kinaadman Hall Conference Room for the benchmarking proper. Mrs. Rachel B. Apdo, Dr. Anna Lyn A. Masing, Prof. Rex B. Makinano, Dr. Armie Leila M. Mordeno, and Dr. Glenn Arthur A. Garcia rolled out the comprehensive presentations for the abovementioned topics. The rest of the personnel and officers from the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs and Services (OVPSAS) were also present to respond to queries during the open forum. Dr. Rolando N. Paluga was also in attendance to provide further discussions for Pre-UIP.
DorSU, in turn, relayed gratitude to CSU for becoming a vital team player in this knowledge-sharing initiative. In their words, CSU has 'some of the best practices' that they wish to emulate in their University soon.
