To align its research initiatives with the national economic and social targets, the Caraga State University developed its research, development, innovation, and extension (RDIE) agenda for the next five years (2025-2030) anchored on the Philippine Development Plan (PDP), Caraga Regional Development Plan and the university’s LIKHA Agenda.
Vice President for RDIE Jeffrey T. Dellosa, D.Eng. opened the two-day activity on December 3, emphasizing that CSU’s role extends to broader social responsibility through research and innovation.
The faculty and staff also developed a vision statement and RDIE framework with Strategic Foresight Division Chief Clark Aries and Ingles and Professor Joey Arles Vergara as the resource speakers. The workshop was built on the outputs from the prior agenda-setting in August this year.
To guide faculty on ethical research conduct, the university also drafted an Ethics Manual presented by Research and Development Publication Management Director Junrie B. Matias, PhD. Its complementary Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) is also being drafted.
The participants will meet again for another round of planning on December 12. With the RDIE agenda set, CSU solidifies its commitment and contribution to economic and social transformation.
