The Caraga State University (CSU) further expands its international partnerships with another ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)  on February 20, 2025.

The university sealed its partnership with the Virtual Realia Organization (VRO) of Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, to formalize mutual cooperation in advancing education, research, and publication initiatives. The collaboration is designed to promote excellence in education and research through a range of targeted activities, including the organization of conferences, symposia, and instructional programs. Both institutions will facilitate the exchange of academic materials and information in areas of mutual interest and co-host events focused on education, innovation, and technopreneurship.

The partnership will initially prioritize cooperation in computing, information sciences, and technopreneurship, with potential expansion into other fields, thereby reinforcing both institutions’ unwavering commitment to academic excellence, global engagement, and the dissemination of knowledge.

Leading the ceremonial signing were the CSU University President, Dr. Rolyn C. Daguil, and the Chairman of the Virtual Realia Organization (VRO), Dr. Don Anton R. Balida, accompanied by key officials of both organizations, including the CSU Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA), Dr. Vicente A. Pitogo, the College of Computing and Information Sciences (CCIS) Dean, Dr. Jaymer M. Jayoma, VRO Board Member, Dr. Salem Abu Amr; and faculty members from CCIS.

President Daguil coined that the partnership “will pave the way for research and innovation and global competitiveness." With the MOU now in place, both CSU and VRO are poised to embark on collaborative ventures that will enhance their respective institutional capacities and contribute to the broader educational and research communities, highlighting Interdependence and High-Impact Colation (I) and Knowledge, Co-creation, and Technoprenuership (K) of the LIKHA Agenda and SDG 4 and 9. │ via CCIS/PICO
