CSU seals another partnership with Indonesian university

Further reinforcing its commitment to global academic and research collaborations while advancing Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), Caraga State University (CSU), through its College of Computing and Information Sciences (CCIS), sealed another significant milestone on February 24, 2025. The university formally established a strategic partnership with Bakrie University of Indonesia through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), officially signed in a ceremonial event held at CSU’s boardroom.

The partnership will focus on exchanging knowledge and expert services in Engineering and Information Technology, covering areas such as, but not limited to, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and other emerging technologies. This will be facilitated through physical or virtual seminars, short-course training programs, research attachments, and study visits. Additionally, cooperation and the development of joint activities will emphasize Computing, Information Sciences, and Technopreneurship.

Dr. Rolyn C. Daguil, President of Caraga State University (CSU), and Dr. Sofia W. Alisjahbana, Rector of Bakrie University, represented by Dr. Mohammad Ihsan, led the ceremonial signing. They were joined by key officials from both universities, including CSU’s Dr. Vicente A. Pitogo (VPAA), Dr. Michelle V. Japitana (Vice President for Executive Operations), Dr. Jaymer M. Jayoma (CCIS Dean), and Dr. Iwan Adhicandra (Head of Bakrie University’s Informatics Study Program), along with CCIS faculty members.

The event highlighted the shared commitment and collaborative spirit driving the partnership forward. With the MOU now established, both CSU and Bakrie University are set to pursue collaborative initiatives that will strengthen their institutional capabilities while making valuable contributions to the wider educational and research communities. │ via CCIS/PICO
