Caraga State University (CSU) renewed its Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) with the CSU Administrative Personnel Association (CSUAdPA) in a ceremony on February 28, 2025, aiming to strengthen a collaborative and harmonious workplace.
CNA is a contract between employees’ organizations and management that outlines employment terms and conditions to improve working conditions, benefits, and rights for staff that are not fixed by law. The previous CNA ended on June 21, 2024, but was extended to June 21, 2025, to allow sufficient time for renewal and compliance with the Civil Service Commission.
University President Dr. Rolyn C. Daguil, PhD graced the activity, along with Vice Presidents Dr. Alexander T. Demetillo (Administration and Finance), Michelle V. Japitana, D.Eng, (Executive Operations), and Rissa L. Mercado, PhD (Student Affairs and Auxillary Services) and CSU Cabadbaran Campus Chancellor Deomila B. Mamaoag, PhD. CSUAdPA was represented by its Board of Directors led by Engr. Marilou G. Umpad.
The renewal is a manifestation of the shared commitment of both parties to uphold the rights, welfare, and professional growth of administrative personnel while ensuring institutional efficiency and development. Further, it reflects the collective effort toward a stronger and more progressive university.
