In line with the Enhanced National Greening Program of the DENR-Caraga, the project implementors from Caraga State University -College of Computing and Information Sciences (CSU-CCIS), Information and Communication Technology Center (ICTC) actively participated in the training-workshop and system roll out on August 16-19, 2022 at the Almont Inland Resort Hotel.
Participants include DENR-ENGP Administrators, Personnel and Staff, and Project Implementers from CSU, its project leader, software automation specialist, document specialist, and computer network specialist. The Information system roll-out is expected to help the DENR-ENGP Implementations and the 2023-2028 targets on reforestation plan, particularly on the data management and analysis.
Forester Nonito M. Tamayo, CESO III, Regional Executive Director, thanked the CSU for its continuous support and development of the system. Forester Luis P. Gonzaga, ENGP Regional Coordinator said, that data banking and analysis of the documents would enable fast retrieval of documents when data is asked from another office using an information system.
Dr. Junrie B. Matias, Virtual Learning Research Center (VLRC) Director and Project Leader explained and demonstrated the functions and processes of the entire system. Modules wrapping the entire Work and Financial Plan of the National Greening Program (NGP) were highlighted and demonstrated during his presentation. JVCS/DAR/CCIS/pico
