Caraga State University – College of Forestry and Environmental Science (CoFES) with the Technology Transfer and Licensing Office (TTLO) initiated a training on Basics on Intellectual Property and Patent Search on October 26-27, 2022 at the Villares Building, CSU.
Kenneth Ciudad, Henson Dejarme, Sarah May Nacario and Esther Saspa, technical experts from TTLO, served as resource persons for the 2-day activity. The lecture covered an overview of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), Industrial Property, Copyright and Related Rights, the Relevance of Patent Search in Research, and Patent Search Tools and Strategies.
The training was attended by the CoFES faculty and virtually by 3rd year and 4th year students. The training is was vital to faculty researchers and students who are taking research methods and thesis writing in which Intellectual Property (IP) infringement has often been an issue.
