Seven outstanding men and women were awarded the coveted Governor General Francis Burton Harrison Award as active partners and collaborators of Caraga State University, in its quest for excellence. The awards were given last February 13, 2018 at the LMX Convention Center in an anticipated commemoration of Proclamation No. 4 which is a part of the weeklong University Days celebration. It was done after the State of the University Address (SUnA) of CSU President Anthony M. Penaso.
The GGFBH award started last 2016 when CSU awarded the first GGFBH awards to Outstanding Alumni. Since then it became a prestigious award to be given only to deserving individuals who made their mark in the community.
The Governor General Francis Burton Harrison Service Awards (GGFBH0 were given to the following in the alphabetical order of their last name: Director Achilles Gerard C. Bravo of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) who has been an active partner of CSU in its different programs, projects and activities.
Director Mylah Faye Aurora Cariño of the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) who has been an active and supportive member of the CSU Board of Regents. In her capacity as NEDA Director, NEDA in particular has been a partner of CSU in its different programs, projects and activities.
Dr.Maricar R. Casquejo, Commission on Higher Education (CHED).In her capacity as CHED Regional Director, CHED in particular has been a partner of CSU in its different programs, projects and activities. She was represented by Dr. Ramil Sanchez due to a previous commitment.
Director Dominga D. Mallonga of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Director Mallonga has been an active and supportive member of the CSU Board of Regents. In her capacity as DOST Director, DOST in particular has been a partner of CSU in its different programs and projects like the GEO SAFER, Phil Lidar and Project STORMM
Dr. Victor Emmanuel A. Ozarraga, Member, CSU Board of Regents and Gawad Kalinga Officer, has been an active and supportive member of the CSU Board of Regents. He has played an active role in the different programs, projects and activities of CSU.
Director Resurreccion P. Pueyo of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) has played an active role in the different programs and projects of CSU.
Atty. Josefe S. Ty, CSU Board of Regent Member (Senate Representative of Senator Francis Joseph "Chiz" G. Escudero), and Dean, College of Law, Father Saturnino Urios University has been CSU’s legal retainer for years.
All seven personalities were recognized by the Caraga State University for their unwavering support, immense contribution, and selfless service to the development and growth of CSU. piaea
