Ms. Rowena A. Japitana of the Department of Biology, College of Arts and Sciences attended an International Summer School program on Spatially-Explicit Modelling of Ecological Systems at the Center for Computational and Theoretical Biology in University of Würzburg, Germany on May 8-12, 2017. The program was funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)and was attended by selected participants from Asia and Europe.
Thirty-six students from the masters and PhD programs in Science Education (Biology and Physical Science) participated in the 2-day “Seminar on Education-Research-Industry Nexus: Advances and Techniques in the 21st Century”, which was held on May 6-7, 2017 at the CSU Conference Hall, Ampayon, Butuan City. The seminar was opened by Dr. Natividad R. Mamaoag, Graduate School Dean.
April 28, 2017. Caraga State University underwent another earthquake drill as part of the university’s risk management program. Delegated by CSU president, Dr. Anthony M. Penaso who was on travel for the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony at the Philippine-American Educational Foundation in Makati City for the Fulbright-CHED Scholarships. The MOA signing is for Graduate Studies in the United States offered to Philippine Higher Education faculty and staff. Dr.
On April 28, 2017, all four great grandchildren of the first congresswoman of the Philippines Elisa Rosales Ochoa passed by Caraga State University for a visit to a relative and to see what they heard about CSU, its Eco-park, goods, and services. Unmindful of a great benefaction their great grandmother left for humanity.
The Caraga State University Alumni Association Inc. (CSUAAI), presently headed by alumni President Mr. Gerry Joey S. Laurito and alumni Vice President, Mr. Nilo Y. Villamor and other active CSUAAI board members, with Batch 1992 gathered by its president, Mr. Allan R. Sarzate and its vice president, Mr. Richard J. Gorme, this year’s Jubilarians and host batch are set for the 71st CSU Alumni Homecoming.
