August 17, 2018 is another milestone for Caraga State University as Dr. Anthony M. Penaso gets another term as Caraga State University President. A well-loved leader, Dr. Penaso was sworn in by CHED Commissioner Perfecto Alibin in the presence of all the Board of Regents members at the Grand Regal Hotel, Davao City on August 17, 2018. His second term begins on August 17, 2018 and ends on August 16, 2022.
Caraga State University launched its Bayugan City External Campus for Graduate School last August 20, 2018 at the ABC Hall of Bayugan City. CSU President Anthony M. Penaso stood side by side with Agusan del Sur Governor Adolf Edward “Eddie Bong” Plaza, Bayugan City Mayor Lope “Kim” Asis, with Sangguniang Panlalawigan and Panglungsod members, and CSU Administrative Council members in the cutting of the ribbon for the official opening of a Graduate School in Bayugan and for Bayugan as another satellite school of CSU.
Mr. John Mark Ramada is currently in Netherlands for ten months training on International Diploma Course on Pig Husbandry and Animal Feed in Barneveld, the Netherlands. The course starts from August 2018 to May 2019. Mr. Ramada is under a scholarship program of Netherlands Fellowship Programmes from the Dutch government - Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
August 14, 2018, The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas has awarded the Caraga State University this year’s BSP prestigious award as Outstanding Regional Partner for Knowledge Resource Network. The awarding ceremony was held at the Mallberry Suites Business Hotel in Cagayan de Oro City.
August 13, 2018, led by University President, Dr. Anthony M. Penaso Caraga State University resonated as it welcomes “Freshies and Returnees” to the university for the School Year 2018-2019. Trumpets blew and drums beat as the students standing on CSU grounds filled with enthusiasm and excitement listened to the words of welcome by the university President.
