Butuanon Balikbayan plant trees at CSU Eco-Park

On May 15, 2017, a group of Balik - Butuanon headed by the Butuan City Tourism Officers went on Garden tour to several farms in Butuan. One of the places they visited was Caraga State University. The balikbayan experienced carabao milking and tree planting. They were brought to the CSU Carabao Center for the carabao milking, went around the CSU Eco-park to commune with nature and planted trees.

Their CSU tour ended at the Dairy Center where they bought several CSU products like fresh milk, chocolate milk, pastillas, and fresh fruits and vegetables. Part of CSU’s mission is the creation of an eco-friendly environment and sustainability. Caraga State University joined the Butuan government’s celebration of the Balangay festival which kicked off on May first and its advocacy to keep “Butuan On” and ascending.
