Several faculty researchers from Caraga State University who actively participated the 20th Anniversary Conference of Agusan Marsh as paper and poster presenters showed what they got during the conference.
The conference was a venue for researchers/experts, practitioners, resource managers, and stakeholders to share findings of their research and its possible impacts to the community living in the marsh. Moreover, some of the researchers from the university bagged the best paper and best presenter awards from the different thematic areas of the conference, to wit:

Sherryl L. Paz – Best Presenter (Voiceless clamor of wildlife in Agusan Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary: the hunting threats and implications to conservation interventions
Sharing of Best Practices on Wetland Education and Ecotourism
Rowena P. Varela – Best Presenter (Sago (Metroxylon sagu Roettb) ecobelt reconstruction in Agusan River Basin for Disaster Risk Reduction
Scientific Poster
Roselei M. Arcilla, Joycelyn C. Jumawan, Jesiel Cris C. Paylangco, Exur Buenaflor, and Ruby Abao-Paylangco for their poster entitled “Internal parasites in bivalves from selected barangays in Lake Mainit, Jabonga, Agusan del Norte, Philippines.
The awards presented to the faculty researchers encouraged them to do more studies in the field of conservation for the benefit of the region and the country. CMG/pico
