Representatives from various research centers and units of Caraga State University gathered for the first phase of its Roadmap Formulation on March 12, 2025, at the Admin Conference Hall, aligning the university’s research initiatives with the local and national development objectives.
The Office of the Vice President for Research and Development, Innovation, and Extension (OVPRDIE) led the activity. Vice President for RDIE Jeffrey T. Dellosa, D.Eng., opened the activity by emphasizing the importance of aligning the roadmap with CSU’s goals, resources, and long-term vision.
The roadmap will serve as a strategic framework for defining priorities from 2026 to 2028. It aims to align initiatives with CSU’s overarching vision and the LIKHA agenda, which focuses on fostering innovation and development with impactful outcomes. With this, the OVPRDIE also seeks to enhance collaboration, streamline operations, and support CSU’s mission of advancing research and development in response to evolving educational demands.
Participants engaged in a workshop on road mapping. They explored Stage Setting and identified Technical Working Groups specific to each sector. Senior Science Research Specialist Engr. Emman Liam Prisco from DOST Caraga served as the resource person.
Participants will reconvene in the coming weeks for Phase 2 of the roadmapping, which will focus on building capacity in Futures Thinking and applying the Futures Triangle methodology to refine strategic planning efforts further.
The outputs from these activities will contribute to finalizing the Research and Development, Innovation, and Extension Agenda for 2025–2030. | via MGAC/OVPRDIE, PICO
