On June 29, 2022, Tax Professional and retired BIR Deputy Commissioner Danilo A. Duncano donated 12 different titles of his 25 authored books to Caraga State University. In 2011, he also donated quite a number of books to CSU during one of the Booklatan Projects of the National Book Development Board (NBDB) through the then Public Information, Alumni and External Affairs (PIAEA) office now Public Information and Communication Office and Alumni Relations Office (PICO-ARO).
Sir Danny as he is fondly called by the Butuanons and Caraganons handed the books to CSU President Anthony M. Penaso in the presence of the FCSUAAI Officers 2022-2024 who were on their courtesy call to the CSU Office of the President. He was also a CSU Resource Person/Speaker on Tax concerns and issues.
Months back, other Caraganon book authors/writers also donated several copies of their books to CSU through the Public Information and Communication Office (PICO). Father Joesilo C. Amalla gave a copy of his book entitled An Island They Called Mazaua: The truth about the site of the First Holy Mass in the Philippines. And Dr. Potenciano R. Malvar also gave copies of his book-Limasawa Hoax: A Tragedy in Philippine History “Beyond the Pale”. On the other hand, Surigao City historian Dr. Fernando A. Almeda, Jr. also shared a copy of his book- Surigao Across the Years: The History of a Province. These books will be placed at the CSU-HERO Learning Commons museum on a space for Caraganon book authors and writers. IDRL/pico
