November 21, 2022, after the flag raising ceremony in Caraga State University Cabadbaran Campus (CSUCC) Dr. Rolyn C. Daguil presided the first Executive Committee meeting of his administration at the Athenaeum Building of CSUCC.
The CSUCC community led by Chancellor Marilyn Castillo warmly welcomed CSU President, Dr. Rolyn C. Daguil and his first lady, Madam Ferlyn M. Daguil. Madam Daguil is an alumna of Caraga State University, BEED Batch 2002. In his speech during the Flag Raising ceremony, he reiterated his LIKHA agenda to fortify Global Competitiveness. LIKHA means-Launch pad of global talents and innovators, Interdependent and high impact coalitions, Knowledge co-creation and commercialization, Hub for academic excellence, innovation, and entrepreneurship, Accelerated administrative systems and digital transformation.
The CSU President himself led the opening prayer with strong praises to God the Almighty and gratitude to life and to all. Dr. Daguil outlined the conduct of the Baseline Assessment of internal Control System (BAICS). The BAICS is required for all local government units as mandated by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM). It is a critical component in strategic planning, creating a budget reform roadmap and action plan.
He steered the wheel clearly on recalibrating the organizational set-up and putting the right people in its right place. “There are right people in the wrong boxes that must be placed in the right boxes for them to grow more and to contribute more for the advancement of the University.”
We are expecting directional, interactional, managerial, and transformational leadership at its core based on five strategic and developmental areas in the next days, months, and years then. Leadership in a box, a new trend to look forward to. PICO
