October 17, 2022 marks the opening of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) accreditation virtual survey visit in CSU. The Program accreditation survey visit officially begins on October 17, 2022 and will end on October 21, 2022.
Ten curricular programs of the Caraga State University will undergo accreditation beginning October 17- to achieve Levels I, III, and IV accreditation from the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP).
The Graduate School has the most number of survey visits for this year, having two (2) programs for the 3rd visit (MS Information Technology and MS Education major in Biology) and one (1) program for 1st visit (PhD in Mathematics Education).
Furthermore, two (2) colleges are up for a third visit: The College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHaSS) AB Sociology and College of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (CMNS) and BS Physics. Lastly, the College of Agriculture and Agri-Industries (CAA) and the College of Forestry and Environmental Science (CoFES) join CMNS to attain Level IV accreditation for the following programs: Bachelor of Agricultural Technology, BS Biology, BS in Environmental Science, BS Information Technology, and BS Mathematics.
The survey is led by team leaders and level coordinators Dr. Thelma Abajar (Team Leader for 1st Survey), Dr. Antriman V. Orleans (3rd Survey Coordinator), and Dr. Juancho Joaquin L. Batang (4th Survey Coordinator). The AACCUP Executive Director, Dr. Milable E. Ho, is expected to be around at the exit conference on Friday, October 21, 2022. Another AACCUP event is simultaneously ongoing at the Mall of Asia today with Executive Director Ho leading.
The virtual opening ceremony was led by Dr. Joy C. Capistrano, OIC-Office of the CSU President and President of Agusan del Sur State College of Agricultural Technology (ASSCAT). President Capistrano highlighted that quality is being true to our commitment in the fulfillment of our vision, mission, goals and objectives. Dr. Luisito I. Tabada, VP for Executive Operations and Auxilliary Services (OVPEOAS) gave the opening remarks, Quality Assurance Management Services (QuaMS) Director, Dr. Fernando T. Herrera introduced the AACCUP Accreditation Survey Team and its CSU counterpart. Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Rolando N.
