Hug a Tree and win a prize

Come and join us on May 19, 2017 at 6:00- 10: A.M. for our Forest Bathing and Trash Picking, Tree Caring and Tree Hugging with Poetry Reading activities and win a prize for hugging trees and reciting a poem on the spot.

Tree hugging is therapeutic, enlivening, and invigorating. According to info.ecosia.org, “Trees mean a happy environment, healthy people, and a strong economy."

Research has shown that we don’t even have to touch a tree to feel better, we just need to be within its vicinity and experience its beneficial effect.

The CSUAAI and the PIAEA Practice Forest Bathing

On May 19, 2017 at 7: 00 A. M., the Caraga State University Alumni Association Inc. (CSUAAI) and the Public Information, Alumni and External Affairs will lead the CSU alumni members with host batch 1992 on its Forest Bathing and Trash Picking activity.

Notably, forests provide the perfect place to holistically heal ourselves.  All our daily tensions, struggles and woes can perish through some simple forest therapy.

PIAEA Formally Turns Over CSUCC Special Patent to CSU President

Dr. Anthony M. Penaso CSU President during its monthly administrative council meeting announced the scheduled formal turn-over of the CSUCC Special Patent last May 9, 2017. President Penaso accepted the OCT or Original Certificate of Title No. 2017000179 with Special Patent No. 130103. 15-0008, covering an area of 53, 915 square meters released last April 20, 2017, handed over by the Public Information, Alumni and External Affairs Director Sonia R. Biology Faculty Attends International Summer School in Germany

Ms. Rowena A. Japitana of the Department of Biology, College of Arts and Sciences attended an International Summer School program on Spatially-Explicit Modelling of Ecological Systems at the Center for Computational and Theoretical Biology in University of  Würzburg, Germany on May 8-12, 2017. The program was funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)and was attended by selected participants from Asia and Europe.

CSU Graduate School Students Attend Seminar on Education-Research-Industry Nexus

Thirty-six students from the masters and PhD programs in Science Education (Biology and Physical Science) participated in the 2-day “Seminar on Education-Research-Industry Nexus: Advances and Techniques in the 21st Century”, which was held on May 6-7, 2017 at the CSU Conference Hall, Ampayon, Butuan City. The seminar was opened by Dr. Natividad R. Mamaoag, Graduate School Dean.
