Caraga State University’s journal, Annals of Studies in Science and Humanities (ASSH),an official research publication of the Caraga State University will be launched on May 24, 2017, 1:00 PM at the Organic Agriculture Technological Center, Caraga State University, Ampayon, Butuan City.
The ASSH is a double-blind peer-reviewed open-access journal which publishes quality papers to promote scholarly discussion across a broad range of academic disciplines. It accepts submissions in any of the areas within natural and applied sciences, engineering, mathematics, education and social sciences with main focus on fishery, agri-forestry, minerals and eco-tourism. The journal is written in English and is published semi-annually in both online and print versions.
In its recent publication, some of the natural and environmental science-related papers include the following:Turrids in the Outer Barrier Reef, Northeast Bohol, Philippines from Lumon-Lumon Nets; GIS-Aided Suitability Assessment of Mt. Mayapay Watershed in Butuan City, Agusan del Norte; Floral Assessment in Lake Mainit Watershed, Caraga Region, Mindanao Philippines; Teratogenicity on Duck Embryos (Anasplatyrhynchos) under Regulated Exposure to Radiofrequency Radiation; and Speciation and Bioavailability of Trace Metals (Cd, Cu and Pb) in Marine Sediment Samples from Placer Bay near Manila Mining Corporation, Surigao City, Philippines.
For social sciences, the titles Intellectuals as Prime Agents of Antonio Gramci’s Philosophy of Proletarian Hegenomy, Emotional Intelligence and Teaching Performance of Tertiary Faculty Members, and Professional Attributes: Implications to Instructional Management Skills of Teachers, have been published.
Advancements in mathematics, specifically: On The Hub Number of Some Graphs; On the Henstock-Stieltjes Integral for l_ρ-Valued Functions, 0<ρ<1; Counting Restricted One-to-One Functions Under a More General Condition; A Characterization of Backwards Itô Integral to a Set of Singularities inΓ_ε ; Efficiency of Doubly Robust Estimator of Causal Effects with Trimmed and Winsorized Propensity Score Weights; and, On the Distribution of the Sums, Products and Quotient of Lomax Distributed Random Variables Based on FGM Copula,have been included.
Participants in the launching events will be researchers, policy-makers, and other CSU stakeholders in Caraga Region. The event is open to all environmental advocates and research enthusiasts.
