Caraga State University has recently launched the left wing of its new multi-purpose building as Phase 1 of the 70 million total infrastructure project cost for College of Arts and Sciences to keep pace with its growing enrollment and the growth in its offerings in liberal arts and pure sciences. The launching in the early morning of February 14, 2018 highlighted the three-day University Days celebration.
Seven outstanding men and women were awarded the coveted Governor General Francis Burton Harrison Award as active partners and collaborators of Caraga State University, in its quest for excellence. The awards were given last February 13, 2018 at the LMX Convention Center in an anticipated commemoration of Proclamation No. 4 which is a part of the weeklong University Days celebration. It was done after the State of the University Address (SUnA) of CSU President Anthony M. Penaso.
The heirs of the First Congresswoman of the Philippines, Honorable Elisa Rosales Ochoa bestowed the First HERO Achievement Award, which was named after the late Butuanon political, sports, and humanitarian icon, Honorable Elisa Rosales Ochoa.
On February 1, 2018, the Caraga State University cafeteria and food concessionaires in the colleges, unite with CSU, in the official implementation of the non-use of plastic in accord to the Memorandum Order No. 12, series 2018 released by the Office of the University President.
Corraine P. Esparagoza a BS Biology fourth year student of the College of Arts and and Sciences, Caraga State University has been given the Best Presentation Award in Korea for her paper “Antimicrobial, Characterization, Phytochemical analysis and Cytotoxic Level of Chloroform, Acetone and Hexane Leaf Extracts of Paspalumconjugatum (Sour Paspalum)."
Corraine delivered her paper in Jeju, South Korean during the Second International Conference on Pharma Sciences and Biotechnology (ICPSB 2018) last January 18-20, 2018.
