CSU President, Dr. Anthony M. Penaso with other university executives and the Commission on Audit Assistant Regional Director Matthew Rey M. Magno and his team, Resident Auditor for CSU, Ms. Eda Christine T. Jamolod, who is also the Audit Team Leader with Mary Bridgette A. Tanjay and Saidali A. Delama as members, met on virtual Exit Conference on February 26, 2021.
The core of the discussion was on the annual audit report of COA for Fiscal Year 2020 containing observations and recommendations on the CSU’s financial operations. The exit conference is the meeting at the end of an audit engagement where the auditors and client meet to discuss the findings of the audit and the recommendations in the report.
The audit team laid down its nine (9) observations and recommendations to CSU methodically and orderly that the CSU people find engaging and enlightening. It ushered to a better fiscal management on the part of CSU in the next yearly audit. In response, Caraga State University was thankful to the Commission on Audit’s straightforward findings considering the challenging times we all have in the year 2020.
The challenge remains as CSU goes forward to FY 2021 with renewed hope and effervescence to carry on whatever challenges there are to face in the near future. AP/pico
