Caraga State University continuously aims for excellence and progress to give more quality services to its diverse stakeholders as well as to cater to the demands of this fast changing world. The whole week of November 20-24, 2017 will be another CSU accreditation week with the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP).
Six Curricular Programs are now on its third Survey for accreditation: Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Bachelor in Geodetic Engineering, Bachelor of Secondary Education, Bachelor of Elementary Education, and Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. On its Second Survey are Bachelor of Science in Agro-Forestry, and Master of Science in Education.
The opening program begins on Monday, November 20, 2017 with an Opening Remarks of Vice President for Research and Extension, Dr. Rowena P. Varela. CSU President, Dr. Anthony M. Penaso in his inspirational and welcome message emphasized that any pursuit for something must be with desire and will. “Our journey to excellence continues not just in living the habit of every day is accreditation day, but in accepting what our weaknesses are and in facing failure as a stepping stone to success.”
It is when we know what we do not have that we can find what we need to have. CSU’s Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Rolando N. Paluga on a snappy closing statement highlighted the significance of accreditation and wished everyone to have an enjoyable, fun, and friendly accreditation experience. Also present was Vice President for Administration, Dr. Armie Leila M. Mordeno who is co-chair of the Steering Committee along with the two other vice presidents.
Dr. Marcelina O. Bahalla is the AACCUP’s accreditation visit Overall Coordinator who introduced the other members of the accreditation team. CSU, QUAMS or Quality Assurance Management Services took charge of the events process. QUAMS is headed by its Director, Dr. Fernando T. Herrera. piaea
