CHED grants Certificate of Program Compliance to BSABE and BSEcE programs

The College of Engineering & Geosciences' (CEGS) Bachelor of Science in Agricultural & Biosystems Engineering (BSABE) and Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering (BSEcE) programs have been granted a Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) through CMO No. 94 and No. 101 s. 2017, respectively. These certificates add to the list of CHED-compliant programs offered by the college, bringing the total to four.

The COPC affirms the full adherence of the degree programs offered by State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs) to the policies, standards, and guidelines established by CHED, per CMO No. 14 series of 2019, also known as the "Policies and Guidelines in the Issuance of COPCs to SUCs/LUCs."

Present to receive the certificates were VP for Academic Affairs Dr. Fernando T. Herrera, CEGS Dean Engr. Lorie Cris Sanchez-Asube, Associate Dean Engr. Philip Donald C. Sanchez, CEGS-QUAMS Coordinator Engr. Lovely Mae Dagsa, and the programs' Department Chairpersons Engr. Neil Caesar M. Tado (BSABE) and Engr. Re-Ann Cristine O. Calimpusan (BSEcE).

As of this update, the COPC application for the two remaining programs under CEGS, namely Civil Engineering (BSCE) and BS Mining Engineering (BSEM), is ongoing.
