Caraga State University through a program dubbed as Pahinungod paid tribute to their exemplary graduates who aced their respective Licensure Examinations. The event was held at the Hon. Elisa R. Ochoa (HERO) Learning Commons Auditorium on November 9, Wednesday.
Ten (10) topnotchers received PHP20,000 worth of cash incentives from the university: two from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, four from the College of Engineering and Geosciences, and another four from the College of Forestry and Environmental Science.
Geodetic Engineering Licensure Examination (GELE) 2022 Top 3, Engr. Deamark Jhone Palaran expressed his appreciation to CSU’s brilliant mentors, college deans, and faculty. “Let us not be consumed by the short-term glory of this accomplishment,” the newly-licensed engineer spoke on behalf of his fellow topnotchers.
Ms. Belen Mordeno Estrosos, mother of Social Worker Licensure Examination Top 4, Rhea Lynne Estrosos, expressed her utmost gratitude towards the University for helping her daughter succeed in her chosen career path.
Moreover, Forestry and Environmental Science Dean, For. Rey N. Cossid avowed that, "having a feeling of gratitude not expressed is like having a gift wrapped and not giving it." He also extended his appreciation to all the successful students and parents who entrust the academic journey of their children to the University.
The event was graced by the OIC-University President and President of ASSCAT, Dr. Joy C. Capistrano who highlighted the Importance of character more than good grades and more than any success in life. She further noted that success is nothing if character and integrity are not aligned with what God has expected human beings to be. And whatever God gave us, we must always be grateful and remain kind to all.
Also around were Vice President (VP) for Academic Affairs, Dr. Rolando N. Paluga who also gave a remarkable talk on success and humility, VP for Administration and Finance, Dr. Armie Leila M.
