Sherryl Lipio Paz, Ph.D in Environmental Science, graduated with honors in UPLB’s 47th Commencement Exercises on June 22, 2019.
Dr. Paz got a General Weighted Average (GWA) of 1.10 among the sixteen PhD Environmental Science graduates coming from different places in the country. Dr. Paz received the award during the School of Environmental Science and Management (SESAM), UPLB Graduate School Hooding and Ceremony last June 21, 2019.
Dr. Sherryl L. Paz was one of the Top 4 among all UPLB PhD graduates. There were over 70 graduates across all PhD programs and UPLB passed over 300 MS and PhD graduates this 2019.
Her dissertation title: Drivers and Patterns of Wildlife Hunting and Trade in Selected Protected Areas in Caraga Region, Mindanao Island, Philippines. Aside from teaching, Dr. Paz is also an active researcher and a member of several research associations.
