The faculty and staff with some student leaders from the College of Science Education (CSE) once again led the gift-giving activity in Bgy. Pianing in Butuan City last December 17, 2010 as part of the University Charter Week celebration. Dr. Natividad R. Mamauag , Dean of CSE, with other officials of the Caraga State University (CSU) headed by Dr. Joanna B. Cuenca , University President, and other CSU officials renewed their commitment to provide gifts for hundreds of residents in the community. Bgy. Pianing is located in the outskirts of Butuan City, more than five kilometers away from the university.
A Seminar on “Mentoring the Mentors” was conducted on September 9, 2009 to maximize the research efficiency of the faculty of the College of Science Education in advising students on the conduct of student thesis and improve student research outputs.

An in-house review was conducted on December 2, 2009 aimed at maximizing the research efficiency of the faculty of the College of Science Education in the conduct of research and come up with quality research outputs. Ten (10) research proposals were presented for approval and funding.
