Mathematics researchers of the university put their minds together to uncover the challenging situations associated with the COVID-19 distribution in Caraga Region; dubbed as UnCOVER Caraga 2020 Program. The research program is funded by the DOST-Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (DOST-PCHRD), which commenced on November 2020.
Engr. Meriam Makinano-Santillan, a Caraga State University alumna and Dean of the College of Engineering and Geoscience (CEGS) of the University sparkled in the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science last February 11, 2021. She was featured in the DOST Science Journo as one good female influencer in Science and Technology.
Caraga State University conducted a webinar on Data Privacy Act of 2012 on January 20-21, 2021 via Zoom at 1:30 in the afternoon. The goals of the said webinar are to enhance knowledge on Data Privacy Act of 2012, develop awareness in data handling, and develop skills in data security.
The multi-awarded Caraga State University President, Dr. Anthony Makinano Penaso was awarded by the Mindanao Daily News (MDN) and Veterans Bank as Most Outstanding Mindanaoan (Government Academe Category) during the 2nd Mindanao Governance and Leadership Excellence Award held at Centrio Mall, Cagayan de Oro City last November 30, 2020.
A seminar-workshop on Template Design, Development, Improvement, and Maintenance of College Websites and on Branding commenced as the finale of a series of Webinars given last August 18, 20, and 28, 2020 to all the Public Information Web Officers (PIWO) of Caraga State University. A Public Information and Communication Office (PICO) initiated activity with the Management Information System (MIS), University Press (UPress), College of Computing and Information Systems (CCIS), and the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA).
