OCID meets with stakeholders

The Office of Curriculum and Instruction Development (OCID) convened partners from education, government, and private institutions on May 7, 2024 to share developments about the university’s programs and gather inputs to adapt to current demands.

The Stakeholders' Forum held at HERO Learning Commons Auditorium delved into the theme, “Innovating Higher Education: Navigating Trends, Meeting Demands,” which, according to OCID Director Dr. Ma. Gloria E. Liquido, is an important call for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to offer adaptive and relevant programs that match the current and future workforce demands.

Partner agencies were in attendance, which included representatives from the Department of Education (DepEd), Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Civil Service Commission (CSC), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), City Government of Butuan, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Department of Health (DOH), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), and Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT).

In their keynote addresses, they expressed support and recognized the indispensable role of education in addressing societal needs. They also participated in a panel discussion with CSU Main and Cabadbaran City deans and chairpersons, sharing insights and best practices on innovative curriculum programs.

The forum signifies the CSU's sustained efforts in establishing a hub for academic excellence and innovation through the support of partner agencies.
