The Caraga State University Faculty Association (CSUFA) held its virtual annual general assembly on February 9, 2022. The assembly was facilitated by CSUFA President, Dr. Alexander Demetillo together with the officers of the Caraga State University Faculty Association; 272 faculty members attended the virtual annual general assembly via Zoom.
CSU has finally launched the first ever state of the art library in Mindanao, the CSU-HERO Learning Commons. The building is named after the Honorable Elisa Rosales Ochoa (HERO), the first congresswoman of the Philippines who filed the omnibus bill in 1946 for the establishment of the Agusan Agricultural High School (AAHS), formerly NORMINAC, that became NORMISIST, and now known as Caraga State University or CSU.
Caraga State University, through its Center for Human-Computer Interaction (CHCI), continuously develops innovations for sustainability; one of which is in the developing agricultural infrastructure sector of the Caraga region. CSU-CHCI partners with the Bureau of Agricultural and Fisheries Engineering of the Department of Agriculture BAFE- DA in this particular project.
December 1, 2021 started with a blast for Caraga State University with the Department of Science and Technology- Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (PCIEERD) and the Butuan City Government as it launched MapX.
Saceda Youth Lead (SYL) with its Founder/President Dr. Dave Saceda himself came to Caraga State University himself to confer the MIT Award or the Most Inspiring Teachers of the Republic of The Philippines award to CSU President, Dr. Anthony M. Penaso. The awarding ceremony was held at the auditorium inside the newly built CSU-HERO Learning Commons building on November 19, 2021. It was attended by a number of CSU officials, guest and the SYL party.
